Annual award organized by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) to strengthen the society’s awareness and to bolster the concept of respecting the rights and duties of the expatriate workers, who make up a large part of our society in the Kingdom, every year competition committee choses a new axis to achieve its goals.
This award is organized by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority LMRA in collaboration with social partners and with the exclusive sponsor from the company, "Zain - Bahrain" for Telecommunications.
You may participate by submitting your work in any of the categories; short film or production and design of a poster. The organizing committee will look at each submission and compliance to the terms of the competition and then announce the shortlisted submissions on the 25th of April 2016 so the participant can begin promotion of his material via the social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc...) until the mid of April 2016, using the link related to the work on the competition website.
The competition will focus on its second audition on the “Treat them well” for the foreign employees regardless of color, sex, thus contributing to the promotion of community awareness of this aspect, and to highlight the extent of respect of the Gulf Countries and their citizens to such employments.
The competition axis talks about the good treatment of foreign workers, regardless of the nature of their work, including domestic labour and employees in other places in various educational and career levels.
  • Entries can be individual effort or team work.
  • Each participant can submit a maximum of two entries.
  • Participant must obtain written approval from the individuals appearing in his work or their guardians in case of a minor and must provide the approval to the committee when required.
  • In case a participant wins with both his entries, the highest value single prize will be awarded.
  • By participating in the competition, the participant grants the organizers or the sponsor of the work represented by the company, "Zain - Bahrain" Telecommunications or any other entities the right to use the submitted material in any form or media that they deem appropriate, free of charge.
  • Any work involving disrespect or contempt, religion, persons or group will be disqualified.
  • The judges’ decision will be final.
  • Winners will be announced later on July 2016

The concept of the awards is to involve the youth, who make up major and important sector of the society in the Kingdom, in creating social awareness of expatriates right.

Participants are required to register via the website for the awards.

The participants are required to do:

Stage 1:
To produce a short film not exceeding 2 minutes or an advertising poster that encourages good treatment and submitting it to the competition committee online before the end of the submission date 15th April 2016. The committee will shortlist the works according to the quality of the work and the way it is beneficiary to the competition core and the possibility to take advantage of advertised on 25th April 2016.
Stage 2:
The participant will promote their illegible work and publicize it through social media, the Panel of Judges will evaluate the extent and impact of each campaign, as well as how it servers the concept of Awards.

Short Film (includes animations)

  • Not more than 2 minutes length.
  • Resolution: Full HD 1920 x 1080.
  • Submit original source files and the final completed file.
  • The participant must obtain the ownership of photos and the soundtracks.

Production and design of a poster (includes photographs, and all kinds of artworks)

  • Submit original source file as photoshop/illustrator.
  • Photograph in format of jpg 600dpi.
  • The participant must obtain the ownership of photos.
All submissions are to be uploaded on the website dedicated to the competition using the Google drive and should be in 2 files labelled as source work and final work.

The total of the prizes is 50,000$ and the awards will be distributed as follows:

  2. Second Prize $ 7,500
  3. Third Prize $ 5,000

  3. Third Prize $ 5,000

Yes there are 10 prizes worth 250$ for participants in the voting.

You may enter with a maximum of 2 entries only.
You may participate individually or as a team.
Yes that can be done before the closing of the competition on 15th April 2016.
The participant can use the Arabic Language or English language as long as he/she can explicitly and clearly pass the message to all and meet the objectives of the competition and has to provide Arabic translation if he/she is using the English language.
The submissions will judged and evaluated by a panel of independent experts in each category.

The Judges panel will evaluate the submitted works according to the following standards:

  1. The concept of the work
  2. Quality and content of the message
  3. Spread and reach of the message
  4. The possibility of using the work
  5. Public voting

The winner will be the one with the most points.

Emails will be sent to all the participants who have been shortlisted for the next stage on 25th April 2016 the list of finalist will also be published on the website and all social media.
After qualifying to the final stage begins the promotions stage where each participant must promote and disseminate his work through the social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc…) form 25th April to 10th July 2016, using the link related to the work on the competition website.
They will be announced in Bahrain Award ceremony to be held by the organizers later on July 2016.
The voting will take place via a special form available on the website for the competition at www.bahrainawards.com during the promotional phase of the competition from 25th April to 10th July 2016.
The form requires name of the voter and the phone number.
There is no age limit for the voting.
Yes the judges will take into consideration the like votes in the social medias but the official voting is via the website.
Yes they will be published on the website and the social media sites for the award and as well social media sites of Zain Company in Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf countries.
You can vote on the works in Bahrain and outside, from any country.

They will be responsible to evaluate the works in line with the following standards:

  • The possibility of using the work
  • Public voting
Participation is allowed for individuals whether individuals or in the form of a team and not in the name of establishments and companies.
Yes educational establishments can participate with a team of students under its name.
The participant may receive support or sponsorship form a company or establishment but the submission must be in the name of the participant and not the company.
This creative excellence prize is awarded by LMRA which is specially for the works that have a very high artistic caliber regardless of the fact it gets votes from the public or not.
  • Participant must be a Gulf Citizen or a resident in one of the Gulf Countries.
  • Age: 16 to 26 years old at time of registration.
  • Residents in the Gulf Countries must attach proof of residence in one of the Gulf Countries during the registration.
  • The subject of the submitted material must be in line with the theme of the competition and fulfills its objectives.
  • The participants must promote their work through the social media ( Facebook, twitter, Instagram , YouTube and other means), using the link related to the work on the competition website.
  • The submitted material must not have been used in any past campaigns, contests, or in any media.
  • The work should be the participant’s own effort and has full copyrights to the material, including the ownership of photos and the soundtracks.
  • Participant must obtain written approval from the individuals appearing in his work or their guardians in case of a minor and must provide the approval to the committee when required.
  • The material must be submitted using Google Drive
  • Submissions must be made by the deadline of 15th April 2016
  • Promotion for the submitted material must be done between 25th April 2016 to 10th July 2016
  • Read and agree to all the terms and conditions for the participation in the competition.
The LMRA will scrutinize the creative works in the first stage to evaluate the work along with the terms and conditions of the competition and the independent panel of judges will evaluate the works according to particular standards.
